Pyrite on Calcite, collected circa 1984 by Ray Keating and others in K54 Stope, Melba Lode, Renison Bell Mine, Zeehan, Tasmania. Cyril Kovac sold this specimen at the Wagga Wagga Gemboree in 2001. There were not very many specimens from this find and many were damaged in the extraction process. Some went overseas and these days they’re getting very hard to find in Australia. [100x60x40mm]
